The philosophy of motivation

May 2, 2019

Motivation is the reason behind a person's actions. It is the reason which encourages you to put in the effort needed for work, it is the force which stops you from quitting and it is a reminder of why you had started out in the first place.

There are two major sources of motivation in life:

1. Self-motivation:

This refers to an internal drive for a sense of purpose; for a sense of success.

When intrinsically motivated, a person is moved to act for the fun or challenge entailed or because he is seeking a certain reward rather than because of external pressures.

Stating simply, self-motivation is when you do something because you feel internally rewarded upon completing it. The same when viewed by a more materialistic eye, may refer to financial gains and benefits which may accrue towards you if a certain task is properly executed.

After all, it is a common belief that if we fail, it’s not because of the circumstances, rather, it’s because of our thoughts and choices.

2. External Motivation:

The quality and availability of motivational speakers has been on the rise. These are people who have been through a lot and achieved a lot in life and now they do their part in inspiring other people to never give up and work towards their dreams.

The philosophy is that everyone has their own unique perception about life and when motivational speakers tell you about their own thoughts about love, career, spirituality, etc., their perspectives can influence your own views on life. You can get inspired from them and believe in your dream, so motivational speakers give you their ideas on life and assist you in appreciating your own!

You may start looking at your failures from a different angle, relate your experiences with theirs and come out believing that if they could do it, so can you!

This is why organizations are not shying away from calling the best inspirational speakers to keep up the morale of employees and help them explore new avenues and challenges within.

To conclude, we at CoKarya have always believed that everyone goes through ups and downs. The only way to survive these is having trust in your ideas and your capabilities for that will give you the motivation to never stop working towards your goal!
